Frequently Asked Questions
There's a lot to think about when it comes to flower preservation. From booking, to timelines, to what to expect. Hopefully those questions are answered below, but if not, please reach out!
How long is the process?
About six different stages go into preservation and each vary in length. Deconstruction of your fresh bouquet, pressing, paper changes, reconstruction, design, and framing. Turn around is a minimum of six months, meaning it may take longer due to factors (ex: supply chain) out of my control.
Will my flowers change?
Yes! Flowers will change as we preserve them. Now how much a flower will change depends on the type, variety, age, and fresh color. Lighter colors tend to lighten, white flowers tend to yellow or brown slightly, darker colors tend to darken etc. Shape may be intentionally altered in the pressing process to prevent browning or molding to give you the best end results.
Where are you located?
I am located in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Exact address and drop off instructions will be provided to you after booking.
How soon should I book?
It's never too early to book! you can book flower preservation as soon as you have your date. It's recommended to book at least 3-4 months in advance. I do book up fast especially in peak wedding season and only have so much space in the presses.
Can all flowers be pressed?
Yes, and no. While most flowers and foliage can be pressed, some bulkier items or drieds can not be pressed then fitted into the frame. If you have concerns about certain elements of your bouquet, please reach out!
Do you offer resin preservation?
No. Resin flower preservation is not a eco friendly or a sustainable material and does not align with my business practices. However, I am happy to provide names of artists who do provide this service upon request.
